On the weekend of August 11, 2007 our little family took the Edmonton folk fest hill by storm! Annand and I volunteered, Makeba danced and slept, and the grandma and uncles and aunties enjoyed our little baby who was almost one year old at the time! Folk fest was the perfect place for Makeba. She loves people and she loves music. Her two favourite things were in abundance at the festival! We listened to some great music (too many favourites to list here!) and danced and ate together and enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere! We had a tarp about 25 feet from the big speakers and Makeba slept through the evening with blankets all around her acting as sound buffers! We had so much fun, we are definitely going to do it again next year!
